5 Apps Every Photographer Needs on Their Phone
I’ve spent a lot of time trying different apps + deciding what works best for me as a photographer, but I’ve finally got it narrowed down to my top 5 most used apps.
1. Plann – I use Plann to schedule my Instagram posts. It is a website, as well as an app, so I schedule all of my posts on my computer, but when it’s time for the post to go live I get a notification to copy and paste the content to my Insta. It’s great!
P.s. – I was super hesitate to start scheduling my posts, but I have no idea what I was thinking. It’s such a lifesaver.
2. Unfold – I use this for all of my insta stories! It took me a little while to get a feel for it, but I really love how it gives a person the ability to show several images per slide without creating a zillion little bubbles at the top of your instagram.
3. MileIQ – This is one of the first apps I got when I started my business. MileIQ tracks all of your drives. You can categorize them as personal or business, and then even more specific from that into moving, errands, etc. I get weekly + monthly email updates with the milage. At the end of the year, I print out the entire year + give that to my accountant. It’s a lifesaver!

4. Honeybook – Again, this is an app that I’m not sure why I waited so long to jump on the bandwagon. I prefer to do most of my work on a computer, but it’s so handy to be able to move these along the pipeline or send out emails to my clients via this little app. It keeps me SO organized + saves me so much time when I’m working my way through a workflow with my clients. I send my contracts, questionnaires, and templates all via Honeybook.

5. Photoshop Express – I just want ya’ll to know I edit solely in Photoshop + there are many photographers who edit only in Lightroom, so this is a preference thing for me. However, you should know there is also a Lightroom app if that’s what you prefer. This is great for editing pictures photos on the go. You can have the same actions or presets on these apps that you use on your computer for consistent editing. It’s perfect!!
I hope ya’ll found this helpful! I’d love to hear from you if you have apps that you love too!
