10 Pieces of Advice From Past BC Brides
I thought a good way to help ya’ll sort through all of your wedding planning questions was by polling some of my past brides. After all, they’ve been there + done that! These sweet people shared with us some of the best advice they wish they knew going into their wedding. This is what they said…
“The day is so busy that you tend to forget half of it, so hire a videographer! I loved our first look. It gave us a few moments to ourselves. I think it’s way too easy to get wrapped up in the big wedding, so it was nice to have a moment where we could just remember why we were there in the first place.”
“I wish we would have had a smaller wedding + focused more on the marriage than the party.”
“We didn’t do a first look, but I wish we would have. It would have cut down on pictures after the ceremony, mostly so that we could have mingled with our guests more.”
“I wish I would have worried less because everything was perfect in the end.”
“We had a traditional ceremony, but I didn’t take into consideration the fact that I don’t like being the center of attention. I wish we would have done a first look, so I could have really enjoyed that time with my groom.”
“Honestly, I wish we would have had a smaller ceremony with just family or eloped. We didn’t hardly get to talk to everyone that attended our wedding and we hate that.”
“I wish we would have hired a coordinator and had a band instead of a DJ. I also wish we would have made time to eat.”
“If I had to do it again, I would have it much smaller, much more low key. It’s more about the commitment than anything else.”
“I wish we would have done more of what we wanted and less of what everyone else wanted us to do.”
“I, for sure, would do a first look + I wish we would have hired a videographer.”
Ya’ll - this stuff is gold. These women have been there, done that, and are wiser for it! These are the things they wish they would have known!
