Three Frequently Asked Questions from Portraits Clients
Hey friend!
Having professional pictures taken can be a bit of a stressor for some people - I totally get that! Been there, done that, and it never gets easier. I want to help all of my friends and clients feel at ease and as prepared as possible heading into photo day, so I’ve answered a few of my most asked questions here + on my FAQ page.
We don’t know what to do with our hands. Will you pose us?
ABSOLUTELY! That’s part of the gig. We will do some traditional stand, smile, and look at the camera, but we’ll also do lots of moving around and have a fun time.
What do we wear?
My initial answer is always wear what you’re comfortable in, but a more substantial answer is avoid crazy patterns, graphic tees (for the most part), and super thin pinstripe shirts because they don’t photograph well.

How many outfits are allowed?
For family sessions, I usually recommend just one outfit for time’s sake so we can spend our time working on all of the possible photo combinations. However, for engagement and senior sessions, I recommend at least two outfits + occasionally, more.
