Engagement Session Outfit Inspiration

Outfit planning can sometimes be the hardest part of prepping for a photoshoot but, fear not because I’m here to help!! Don’t overcomplicate it because I promise it’ll work out perfectly.

A few quick pieces of advice: be true to who you two are individually and as a couple. Don’t wear anything you wouldn’t normally wear or wouldn’t normally be comfortable in.

If you’re into Pinterest, you can check out my Engagement Outfit Inspo board. There is a little bit of everything in there, so something should strike your fancy and get you headed in the right direction.

If you need a few more examples/ideas, here are some outfits my couples have worn in the last year with all things varying from casual to formal to western and urban and everything in between.

I do recommend avoiding any stripes in a men’s shirt that are any smaller than the ones pictures above. When the lines are too small, they can be hard to photograph.

Dresses can be so fun + add a little flair to pictures and tend to look a little ‘dressier’ (see what I did there…LOL). But, if you don't normally wear dresses, I would shy away from wearing them in pictures. If you buy something special or new for pictures, you want to be able to wear it again in your real life.

And sometimes you just can’t beat your favorite pair of jeans and a t-shirt! (This is a good example of rocking bright colors.)

Don’t let picking your outfits make this experience not fun for ya! I hope this was helpful + made the process a little easier for ya. Happy shopping!
