Rural Missouri Backyard Wedding
Originally planned for August, Shaylee + Brody had to reschedule their day in part due to COVID but also in part to Shaylee’s dad’s sudden declining health. In such a sad turn of events, he passed just a few weeks before the date they had finally settled on, January 2, 2021. Shaylee told me they wanted to go ahead with that date because they wanted to start the year off on a happy note and they knew that’s what her dad would want.
The day was intimate and special as it took place on her family’s farm in Missouri. It snowed and snowed all day, which made the day just that much sweeter. Her dad’s presence was felt by all and honored to the highest. It was an emotional day for the new Barbers - definitely described as bittersweet. I am wishing Shaylee + Brody the very best. It was such an honor to be there for this couple to celebrate their marriage and her sweet dad’s life.
